How did I end up here?
During my undergraduate studies at the University of South Dakota, I changed my major roughly 8 times (I tried everything from engineering to political science). Eventually, an experimental PR class led me to advertising. After graduation, advertising led me to Minneapolis where I spent almost 3 years working in the account department of various agencies. I was always curious about strategy, so when my quarter-life crisis hit I decided it was time to make the transition. After a year of trying to figure out how to become a strategist, I was accepted to the VCU Brandcenter.
Fast-Forward through 2 years of grad school and 1 summer interning in Pittsburgh: I currently find myself living it up in Brooklyn and spending my days at R/GA.
Worked at a few agencies:
Account + Project Manager, Assistant Account Executive, & Intern
Accounts I worked on:
3M Brands [Duct Tape, ocelo, ACE, Scotch Brite], Minnesota Timberwolves, Ryder Cup, Canterbury Park, University of Minnesota
Service industry vet:
11+ years working in the restaurant industry
Former Amateur "Comedian":
In undergrad I was in a sketch comedy group - Strollers. Here's a video. This joke won't make sense, but it was the only semi-appropriate clip I could find.
I watched a lot of Animal Planet growing up. I can identify and characterize about ~90% of dog breeds.
Clap On Clap Off:
I'm an exceptionally loud, crisp clapper.
